Statement on Pride Sponsor Departures

Across the country, Pride organizers are facing a shifting reality. Some sponsors are stepping back. The stated reasons for these sponsor departures vary, but, regardless, it’s making waves.

Here's the truth: Pride is not defined by a corporate logo. It’s defined by people.

Our communities have always known how to do more with less — because we’ve had to. And still, we show up. Still, we rise. Organizers are preparing for larger crowds than ever before. The energy is building, not fading.

At the same time, this moment is a call to action. If you believe in equality, in inclusion, in the power of LGBTQ+ people to lead boldly, celebrate queer joy, create safe spaces, and live and love authentically and freely—then now is your moment to show up.

We call on companies to truly stand with our communities — not just in June, not just in hashtags, but in real, tangible support. We need sponsors who aren’t afraid to lead with their values. Who understand that in this climate, supporting Pride is not just a business decision — it’s a historic one.

Be the reason a young person feels safe to dance in the street.

Be the reason a small-town Pride takes root and grows.

Be the reason this movement doesn’t just survive — it thrives.

USA Prides members are ready to work with brands and sponsors who want to do more than wave a rainbow flag — who want to make a difference, create hope when we need it the most. Stand with us. Invest in us. The future of Pride is being written now, and we invite you to be a part of it.
